Gift Deed
A gift deed is a legal document that is used to transfer ownership of property from one party to another party as a gift, only within a family without any exchange of money or other consideration. A gift deed is typically used to transfer ownership of real estate, such as a home or land, or personal property, such as a vehicle or artwork.
Names and addresses of the donor and recipient
A description of the property being gifted, including the legal description and any relevant parcel numbers
A statement of the donor's intention to make a gift of the property, without any exchange of consideration
A statement of delivery, which indicates that the donor has delivered the property to the recipient.
